Pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-one is a sulfamic acid that can be used as a catalyst for the synthesis of nitrostyrenes. It can also be used to yield high yields of sulfamic acid from the reaction of phenols and sulfonitrosyl chloride. Pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-one has been shown to give high yields in the synthesis of sulfamic acid from the reaction of phenols and sulfonitrosyl chloride. This compound has been shown to give high yields in the synthesis of nitrostyrenes by using a variety of catalysts including pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalin-4(5H)-one.
