2-Phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid is a carboxylic acid with a phenylhydrazone structure. The compound has two stereoisomers that are mirror images of each other. It is an anhydrous solid and crystallizes in the form of a dihedral crystal. 2-Phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acid also has carboxylic acid groups on its phenyl ring and can exist as either the anion or the cation depending on pH levels. The compound is highly soluble in water and formaldehyde.br>br>
