Description

3-(Phenylthio)propyl]amine hydrochloride is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of piperidines. It is a phenoxy compound with a benzyl group and a l1210 tumor-specific activity. 3-(Phenylthio)propyl]amine hydrochloride has been shown to have anticancer activity in mice with cancer, as well as immunodeficiency properties in rats. The antimicrobial effects of this drug are due to its ability to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomal 50S subunit. 3-(Phenylthio)propyl]amine hydrochloride also inhibits receptor activity, which may be responsible for its therapeutic effect on cancer cells.
