Description:

1H-Pyrazole-3-carbonitrile is a diazonium salt that inhibits the growth of bacteria by reacting with the amino group of proteins. This drug has bacteriostatic activity and is used to treat inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune diseases. 1H-Pyrazole-3-carbonitrile also inhibits the production of nitric oxide in macrophages, which is a key factor in inflammation.

1H-Pyrazole-3-carbonitrile belongs to the heterocycle pyrazoles. It has electron deficient properties and can be synthesized from ethyl esters through metal ion catalysis.
