Product Information
- 3-Aminopiperidine Hydrochloride
- Piperidin-3-Amine Dihydrochloride
- 3-Amino piptrdine dihydro chloride
Piperidin-3-amine dihydrochloride is a dpp-iv inhibitor that has been shown to be the more potent enantiomer. It is synthesized from the reaction of piperidine with ammonia and formaldehyde. Piperidin-3-amine dihydrochloride is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, or acetone. The molecule can be converted to its hydrogen chloride salt by treatment with hydrochloric acid. Piperidin-3-amine dihydrochloride has been used as a positioning agent for nitrous oxide (laughing gas). This compound increases the potency of benzoate by inhibiting degradative enzymes and preventing the formation of toxic metabolites.
