Product Information
- 2-(3-Pyridinyloxy)ethylamine
2-(Pyridin-3-yloxy)ethanamine is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor ligand that binds to the acetylcholine binding site of the receptor. The affinity of 2-(pyridin-3-yloxy)ethanamine for the acetylcholine receptor is determined by its ability to compete with binding of acetylcholine, and it has been shown to have high affinity for the receptors. 2-(Pyridin-3-yloxy)ethanamine has been shown to be a bioisosteric replacement for pyridine compounds, which are found in many drugs such as nicotinic agonists and antagonists. This drug also has shown promising results in rat brain models when studying synaptic transmission.
