  • 4-(Pyridin-2-Yl)Phenol
  • 4-(1H-pyridin-2-ylidene)cyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-one
Description:

4-(Pyridin-2-yl)phenol is a metabolite of the stolonifera fungus that has been shown to optimize metabolic pathways and increase the production of fluorescent compounds. 4-(Pyridin-2-yl)phenol was synthesized in high yield by growing the fungus in a microbiological culture. The sensor, which is genetically engineered to produce 4-(pyridin-2-yl)phenol, can be used for low detection. This sensor has been engineered to sense and optimize rhizosphere conditions.
