1H-Pyrazol-1-ol is an organic acid that is used in the synthesis of pyrazoles. It can be prepared by asymmetric synthesis using a hydroxyl group and trifluoroacetic acid as a reagent. The metal ion may act as a catalyst for this reaction. 1H-Pyrazol-1-ol has been shown to have antioxidant properties, with the highest potency among the other tested organic acids. This agent also has amine binding properties, which are important for receptor binding, and molecular modeling studies have shown that it binds to glutamate receptors, activating them and inhibiting their deactivation by magnesium ions.
