Description:
1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-7-ol is a pyrazolopyrimidine that has been shown to have inhibitory effects on the purine and triphosphate biosynthesis pathways. It also inhibits alkylene metabolism in bacteria. 1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-7-ol is metabolized by c1-6 alkylating agents and can be used to create analogues of purines and ribonucleotides. This compound has been shown to have antiparasitic properties against Leishmania spp., hemoflagellates, and other protozoans.
