Description:
1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridin-3(2H)-one is an antiviral compound that inhibits viral replication by acting as a competitive inhibitor of the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. It has been shown to be active against human and animal viruses, including HIV and Ebola virus. 1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridin-3(2H)-one also inhibits coagulation by inhibiting the synthesis of fibrinogen. 1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridin-3(2H)-one is orally active and can be used in combination with other drugs for the prevention or treatment of viral infections.
