Product Information
- 5-Amino-Phthalazine
- Quinoxalin-5-ylamine
Phthalazin-5-amine is an ionic liquid that is synthesised by the reaction of ammonium nitrate, pyridazine and formaldehyde. It has been used for the elucidation of hydrogenation reactions, desorption of organic compounds from silica gel, as well as for the synthesis of monomers. Phthalazin-5-amine also has a high reactivity with aldehydes, which can be used in reactive coupling reactions. The molecular weight was determined by mass spectrometry to be 222.14 g/mol. The compound is a white solid at room temperature and can be stored below -20°C.
