3-Phenyloxetan-3-amine hydrochloride is a surfactant that belongs to the group of amides. It is synthesized by reacting 3-phenyloxetane with an amine, and this process has been shown to be catalyzed by both acid and base. 3-Phenyloxetan-3-amine hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Escherichia coli.
