Description:
Pentamethylcyclopentadienylzirconiumtrichloride (CpZrCl3) is an organometallic compound that has been used to synthesize polyolefins, such as fluorenyl. CpZrCl3 can be prepared by the reaction of Cp2Zr, acetylacetonate, and pentamethylcyclopentadiene. The reaction product has a lamellar structure with alternating layers of zirconium and pentamethylcyclopentadienyl rings. This material is also soluble in organic solvents.
