Product Information
1-Phenyl-4-iodopyrazole is a carbinol that reacts with Grignard reagents to form esters and aldehydes. It can also be used as a reagent for the iodination of ketones. 1-Phenyl-4-iodopyrazole is oxidized by chlorine to produce iodides. The product then reacts with ethyl esters to form ethyl chlorides, which can in turn react with Grignard reagents. The reaction produces high yields of both ethyl esters and Grignard reagents.
