Description:

1H-Pyrrole 2,5-dione,1-(1-methylpropyl) is a benzene derivative that is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of polymers. It is a white solid with a melting point of about 130°C. It can be synthesized by reacting maleimide and styrene in the presence of tert-butyl chloride and azobisisobutyronitrile. Copolymers of 1H-pyrrole 2,5-dione,1-(1-methylpropyl) can be obtained by copolymerizing it with various other monomers such as n-butyl acrylate or methyl methacrylate.
