Product Information
Pyrazine-2-carboxamidine is a synthesized, water-soluble nucleotide analog that has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of procollagen and solvates. Pyrazine-2-carboxamidine also has anti-viral properties and inhibits the replication of viruses such as HIV, HSV, and HPV in vitro. This compound is able to inhibit the activity of serine proteases that are involved in viral replication by binding to their active site. The inhibitory effect on these enzymes is reversible. Pyrazine-2-carboxamidine has not been observed to have any adverse effects on human cells because it does not affect cell proliferation or viability.
