Product Information
Pyridine-2,3,4-triamine is a drug that has anti-apoptotic effects on mitochondria. It prevents the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential and neuronal death by inhibiting mitochondrial functions. Pyridine-2,3,4-triamine also exhibits a matrix effect that protects cells from oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species. This drug has been shown to have neuroprotective effects against striatal dopamine depletion in rats and also inhibits proliferation of cells in culture. Clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of pyridine-2,3,4-triamine for treating carbonic anhydrase inhibitor poisoning and stroke.
