- 2-Pyrrolylboronic Acid
2-Pyrrolyl boronicacid (BPA) is a molecule that is able to activate the fluxional nature of the bathochromic chromophore. This molecule has been studied in vivo, and shown to be effective at inhibiting cancer cells in vitro. The BPA skeleton is a synthetic heterocycle that can be used for the synthesis of homologues with different substituents. 2-Pyrrolyl boronic acid has been found to be an anti-cancer agent that inhibits leukemia cells through apoptosis induction and arresting cell cycle progression at G2/M phase.
