Product Information
Poly(ethylene glycol) dithiol (PEG-SH) is a telechelic polymer that has been used to study the coordination chemistry of transition metals. It can be synthesized in a variety of forms, including linear, cyclic, or branched. A number of different methods exist for the synthesis of PEG-SH, including WST-1 assay, crystallography, and nmr spectra. In addition to its use as a polymer, PEG-SH has also been shown to have potential applications in electrochemical studies and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. PEG-SH binds to RNA via hydrogen bonding interactions and has been shown to inhibit the binding of RNA to the ribosome.
