Description:
(1H-Pyrrol-2-yl)methanamine is an amine with a methoxybenzyl group. It has a linear range and can be used to measure the concentration of halogeno anions. This chemical also has antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to block the CB1 receptor in the brain. (1H-Pyrrol-2-yl)methanamine also inhibits an enzyme that converts cb1 receptors into dicarboxylates, leading to depression when it is administered. It is metabolized by the liver and excreted through urine or bile as a conjugate or nonconjugated form. When this chemical binds to cb1 receptors, it causes them to fluoresce brightly under ultraviolet light.
