Description

Pemoline is a psychostimulant drug that increases the activity of the central nervous system. It is used in the treatment of attention deficit disorder and narcolepsy. Pemoline has been shown to have high efficacy in experimental models with humans, where it has been shown to reduce body mass index and locomotor activity. The mechanism of action for pemoline is thought to be through its interaction with dopamine receptors, although the exact receptor binding site has not yet been identified.
