Description

Poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) zinc salt is a polymer that consists of the monomers ethylene and acrylic acid. It is soluble in water and has been shown to form a complex with zinc ions. This polymer has been used in microscopy as a negative staining agent, yielding images that are composed of electron dense regions. Poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) zinc salt is also used in the production of polymers that have different properties than those made from acrylic acid alone.
