Description:

4-Phenyl-3-morpholinone (PM) is an operational nitroarene that is structurally related to other nitroarenes, such as 4-nitrophenol, 3-nitrophenol, 2-nitrophenol, and 2,4-dinitrophenol. PM has been studied for its ability to inhibit the kinetics of hydrogenation reactions in liquid phase. PM has also shown antithrombotic effects by inhibiting platelet aggregation and adhesion. These effects are thought to be due to its ability to inhibit thromboxane synthesis. PM has also shown efficacy in the catalytic reduction of rivaroxaban.
