Description

Pyracarbolid is a control agent that is used to control animal pests. It has been shown to be effective against mollusca, arthropoda, and insects. Pyracarbolid is a crystalline polymorph that has a molecular weight of about 253 g/mol. Pyracarbolid is an agrochemical that is also used as a plant physiology and horticultural biocide. The effective dose for pyracarbolid is 10-30 mg/kg body weight when ingested orally or applied externally to the skin. Symptoms of overdose include nausea and vomiting, headache, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
