Description:

N-Phenylpyrrol-2-yldi-tert-butylphosphine (NPPB) is a ligand that is used in Suzuki coupling reactions to produce amines and other nitrogen compounds. The phosphine is used as a base to deprotonate the organic substrate and provide a nucleophile for the reaction. NPPB can also be used in catalytic cycle reactions with chlorides, yields, aryl chlorides, arylboronic acids, and aryl bromides. Buffering agents are often added to increase the solubility of this compound.
