Description

N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid is a chiral compound with a monoclonal antibody that has been shown to be an effective treatment for chronic pulmonary diseases. It is an analog of glutamic acid and has the same amino acid side chain, but in a different spatial configuration. The activity index of N-phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid is higher than that of glutamic acid. It has been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. N-Phthaloyl-L-glutamic acid can also be used as a reagent for detecting the presence of hydrochloric acid in solutions using analytical methods such as HPLC.
