Description:

Propylene glycol dilaurate is a glycol ester that is used as an excipient in pharmaceuticals. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and is used as an antimicrobial agent, especially for products that come into contact with the skin. Propylene glycol dilaurate has also been shown to be effective against dermatophytes and Candida albicans. This product has a low pH and exhibits good activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Streptococcus pyogenes. Propylene glycol dilaurate also inhibits matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which are enzymes involved in tumor invasion.
