Description

1-Phenylnonane is a control agent that is used in the production of glycol ethers. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as trifluoromethanesulfonic acid and transistor in the presence of base. 1-Phenylnonane has also been shown to have a thermal expansion coefficient that is greater than that of water, suggesting it may be used as an infrared sensor. The response pathway for this compound has been identified as being oxygenated or hydrogen bonded. In addition, 1-Phenylnonane is a natural compound with chemical reactions similar to fatty acids.
