Product Information
(E)-2-Phenylethene-1-sulfonyl chloride is a sulfonanilide compound that is used in the treatment of bowel disease, including inflammatory bowel disease and Crohn's disease. It is an inhibitor of leukocyte elastase, an enzyme that has been associated with the development of these diseases. This drug binds to chloride ion and isoxazolidine to form a ruthenium complex. The complex reacts with alzheimer 's disease-associated amyloid beta peptide (Aβ) at the active site, preventing Aβ aggregation and protecting against inflammation. It also inhibits insulin resistance by binding to chemokines. This drug has shown potential as a chemotherapeutic agent for hepatic steatosis due to its cationic polymerization activity.
