Description

Phenylboronic acid pinacol ester is a fluorescent probe that reacts with fatty acids. It is used in analytical chemistry and biotechnology as a growth factor, an anti-infective agent, and for the treatment of cancer. The compound has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by inducing apoptosis. Phenylboronic acid pinacol ester also has anti-inflammatory effects and can be used to treat autoimmune diseases or inflammatory diseases such as ulcerative colitis. This compound also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by acting as a hydrophobic effect.
