Description:

4-(3-Phenylpropyl)pyridine is a trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) derivative that is used as an organic solvent. It has a constant boiling point, which allows it to be easily purified by distillation. 4-Pyridinecarboxaldehyde can be used as an anion in the formation of catalytic effect, and it has been shown to react with multi-walled carbon nanotubes to form n-oxide crystals. 4-(3-Phenylpropyl)pyridine can also be used as a photoelectrochemical substance and exhibits luminescence properties when exposed to UV light. The protonated form of 4-(3-Phenylpropyl)pyridine can react with primary alcohols to produce aldehydes or ketones.
