Description

1,4-Phenylene diisothiocyanate is a potent anthelmintic drug that inhibits the growth of parasites and has been used to treat infections caused by helminths. It binds to a chemoreceptor site on the parasite's surface and prevents the release of an inflammatory mediator, epidermal growth factor.
