Description:

Piperazine is an organic solvent that belongs to the group of alkanolamines. It is a colorless liquid with a faint, unpleasant odor and bitter taste. Piperazine is used as an extractant for vegetable oils and fats, as a component of herbicides, and as a pharmaceutical agent. This compound has been shown to have some inhibitory effects on atractylodes, ganoderma lucidum, and poria. Piperazine can also be used in coatings for tablets or capsules to prevent the adhesion of drug-resistant microorganisms such as Enterobacteriaceae and fungi.
