Description:
Eugenol is a natural phenylpropanoid that is found in many plants. Eugenol activates the enzyme β-caryophyllene, which is involved in the synthesis of cinnamic acid derivatives and amides. Eugenol also has potent antitumor activity against cancer cells in culture, and it is an enantiomer of hexanal (1-hexanol).
