Description:

Piperazine-1,4-bis(2-ethanesulfonic acid) dipotassium salt is a buffered additive that is used in the manufacture of ethylene oxide and glycols. It is also a solid catalyst for piperazine derivatives. Piperazine-1,4-bis(2-ethanesulfonic acid) dipotassium salt has shown to have an abrasive effect on metal surfaces. The piperazine moiety can be used as a raw material for the synthesis of other compounds such as glycols and ethylene oxide. It also has been shown to prevent the formation of cyanate when mixed with ethylene oxide.
