Description

Polyquaternium-39 is a polymer that can be used as a hair conditioning agent. It is prepared by condensing an amine with a dicarboxylic acid, such as adipic acid, and then reacting the resultant polyamine with ethylene diamine. Polyquaternium-39 is often used in cosmetics because it has a high cationic charge density, which provides conditioning or detangling properties.
