Product Information
1H-Pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridine is a heterocyclic compound that has been studied for its potential as an antimicrobial agent against bacterial and fungal infections. This compound binds to the mcl-1 protein in the mitochondrial membrane, inhibiting the opening of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore and causing a loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. The 1H-pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridine is also an inhibitor of cyclase enzymes which may be useful in treating conditions such as autoimmune diseases and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug are not fully understood but it has been shown to have electrochemical impedance spectroscopy properties.
