4-(4-(3-(Pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)-N-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)benzamide (NVP) is a fluorescence dye that has been used for the detection of glucose in a glucose solution. The fluorescence intensity increases with the concentration of glucose and reaches its maximum when the concentration of glucose is around 1%. NVP is activated by light and emits green fluorescent light. This dye can be used to diagnose diabetes mellitus, monitor blood sugar levels and to synchronize insulin injections. It can also be used as an authentication marker for low energy devices such as RFID tags or sensors.
