Product Information
3-(Piperidin-4-yloxy)pyridine is an arylboronic acid that binds to both nicotinic and muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. The affinity of 3-(Piperidin-4-yloxy)pyridine for the acetylcholine receptor is about 10 times greater than its affinity for the nicotinic receptor. This molecule can be used as a pharmacological tool to study the function of these two types of acetylcholine receptors in vitro. 3-(Piperidin-4-yloxy)pyridine may also be used as a starting material for the synthesis of other molecules, such as pyridines.
