Pyrido[3,4-b]pyrazine is a heterocyclic compound. It is a reaction product of the coupling of two molecules of 2-aminopyridine with one molecule each of 1,2-diaminobenzene and 1,3-diaminobenzene. Pyrido[3,4-b]pyrazine is an acceptor in the Fenton reaction. This compound has been shown to have cancer therapeutic properties in both cell cultures and animal models. The biological activity of this compound may be related to its ability to inhibit tyrosine kinase or its redox potential. Pyrido[3,4-b]pyrazine has been shown to be effective against Alzheimer's disease in mice and also has photophysical and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy properties.
