Description

Phenylacetic acid ethyl ester (PAEE) is a fatty acid that has been synthetically produced by the reaction of ethylene diamine and isovaleric acid. PAEE has been shown to have antibacterial properties against bacterial strains and chemical substances. The chemical structure of PAEE includes an hydroxyl group, a carbonyl group, and an acidic ph. These properties have shown the ability to cross-link proteins, which may be beneficial in pharmaceutical preparations for insulin resistance.
