N-(2-Pyridyl)bis(trifluoromethanesulfonimide) is a chemical compound that is extracted from pyridine. It is a pale yellow solid. N-(2-Pyridyl)bis(trifluoromethanesulfonimide) can be deprotonated with potassium tert-butoxide in the presence of methyl iodide to form the enolate, which reacts with triflic anhydride to form the triflate. This reaction can be used as a preparative technique for extracting this compound.
