Product Information
- 9-Anilinoanthracene
N-Phenyl-9-anthramine (NPAA) is an amine that exhibits fluorescence as a result of its interaction with other molecules. NPAA has been shown to have a red shift in the emission spectrum when it interacts with other amines or aliphatic compounds. The fluorescence intensity is also affected by the concentration of the interacting molecule and the excitation wavelength. NPAA emits singlet and triplet excited states, which are responsible for the fluorescence emission. The triplet state has a higher energy than the singlet state, and will therefore emit light at longer wavelengths, resulting in a blue shift in the emission spectrum.
