Description:

Perhydrocyclobuta[c]furan-1,3-dione is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the asymmetric synthesis of alcohols. It is enantiopure and can be used in the stereoselective synthesis of cyclic compounds, such as cyclobutane or cyclic ketones.
