Description:

7H-Pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin- 2-amine (7DP) is a cytotoxic agent that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells. It has been shown to bind to the benzyl group of DNA and inhibit tumor cell growth by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins required for cell division. 7DP has also been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on cancer cell lines, as well as broad-spectrum activity against cancer cells. 7DP interacts with DNA through an unknown mechanism and inhibits cellular protein synthesis, leading to cell death in vitro.
