Description:
Pentafluoropropylamidine is a fluorinating agent that has been used as an insecticide. It is an organic solvent with chemical groups that are used in the production of polymers, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides. Pentafluoropropylamidine also has the ability to silylate other compounds. This compound can be used to convert hydrocarbons into fluorocarbons by reacting with the hydrocarbon's hydrogen atom and replacing it with a fluorine atom. Pentafluoropropylamidine is also able to catalyze the conversion of cyclohexane into cyclohexanol.
