Potassium hexafluoroantimonate(1-) is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula K[SbF6] and a molecular weight of 237.2 g/mol. This compound is a white solid that is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. It can be used as a polymerization initiator for cationic polymerization, or as a nucleophilic reagent to attack the hydroxy group of other compounds. The reactive nature of potassium hexafluoroantimonate(1-) makes it useful for fabricating polymers with alkylthio groups or phenyl groups.
