Description:

Perfluoro-3,6,9-trioxatridecan-1-ol (PFT) is a fluorinated hydrocarbon with a formula of CF3(CF2)4O. It has been synthesised by the interaction of 1H,1H-perfluoro-3,6,9-trioxatridecan-1-yl bromide and potassium hydroxide in an annular chromatography column. The molecular weight of PFT is 467. The mass spectrum shows that it has four distinct molecular peaks at mass numbers 467, 470, 472 and 475. The proton magnetic resonance data show that PFT has two hydroxyl groups in the molecule.
