(2,3,4,5,6-Pentafluorophenyl)acetyl chloride is an organic compound with the formula (CF)COCCl. It is a colorless liquid that has a chloroform-like odor. The compound is produced by the reaction of heptane-2-carboxylic acid with ethylene diamine. This chemical reacts with cyclohexanol to form an amide. The final product can be stabilized by adding diethylaminoethyl chloride or ethylene diamine. This chemical has been used in tissue stabilizing formulations and yields a chloride upon reaction with pentafluorophenol.
