Potassium [4-(1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl]trifluoroborate (KPTB) is a nucleophile that is used as a ligand in organotrifluoroborate chemistry. KPTB has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for cross-coupling reactions, yielding high yields of biaryls from aryl chlorides and boronic acids. It can also be used to synthesize organic compounds with functional groups such as ketones, esters, amides, nitriles and imines.
